Cherry Picking

Back on June 13th, we went up to the Leona Valley (and 1.5 hours from Moorpark) and picked cherries! You can't grow cherries in most of SoCal, but in this particular valley they flourish. It was a lot of fun and the cherries were very yummy! Leona Valley is close to the KOA we went camping at in May, so I think next year we'll make a whole weekend of it!

New dSLR Camera!

For his birthday this year, Chris got a digital SLR camera. Because the film SLR that we got for our wedding that we "could use forever" was obsolete about 7 years ago. :( Here are some of the first pictures he took... The last series of Virginia and John are from Easter Sunday.

Cliff Diving.... and pie

Just like last year, Chris attended a Gordon Conference in Rhode Island this summer. He had a great time, his poster was well-attended and he got to go cliff diving again. The weather was much better this time around, and he was more prepared with water shoes and rash guard, so the injuries were minimal. :)
